At the 2019 Texas Shootout and 2020 Olympic Trials Stage 2 I helped with the set-up and tear down of the tournament both at Veterans Park and the archery range on campus by arranging chairs and putting up/taking down bails and target stands and also the tents at Veterans Park.  I also made sure that the scorecards were labeled correctly and placed at the correct target assignment. I also filled up the water coolers and helped check archers/coaches into the tournament.

The event was held for archers in the US to showcase their skills and a chance for them to compete head to head. It is also their chance to see if they are the best in the nation within their age range.  The event was also held for the 2nd leg of the Olympic team selection process for Tokyo 2020.

I learned from my contribution to the archery events that there are many elements that go into making an event successful especially when it is mostly student-run. It is very important that every person correctly and efficiently does their part, or the event will not go as planned.

The event went well and the turn out was more than excepted. The weather was on our side during the whole weekend The event was on schedule which made the archers happy, and this also made the judges and the A&M team happy not falling behind schedule and preparing the next line on time without delaying the tournament. It made tear down easy and breeze due to being on schedule and not making the process longer then it needed to be.
