Cake Walk Volunteer – ran the cake walk by setting up and showing participants how the game was played, passed out the treats and collected money.

 

The purpose of the event was to help support and unite the community to raise funds for the local chapter of the Down Syndrome Association.

 

I learned that a simple thing like a cake can make the world of difference in a child’s life.  From a volunteer’s perspective, the signage could have been better to advise the participants where to go for the activities.  The ingress/egress of traffic also needs to be reevaluated for next year’s event.
